Hi All,
I have just installed Crystal Report (CR) 8.0 into my machine, and try to explore the methods I can distribute the report to the end users.
Besides as stand alone reports (compiled), what others integration methods for distributing CR Reports to the end user ?? or any documentation about it ??

Thank you for any help,
Krist.

Compiled reports do not really qualify as an integration, because there is no application to integrate with. You can't control compiled reports from an application.

If you have V8 developer edition, you can launch and control CR from an application like VB. There are 4 methods that you can use with different levels of control and complexity. Ken Hamady

The Four Mathods are:

1. ActiveX Control
2. Report Designer Component
3. Report Engine Automation Server
4. Report Engine API

Ken,

Do you need to have Crystal 8 Developer in order to integrate with VB, or can you use Crystal 8 Professional?
Thanks,

Sue

With V8 you need developer to do integration.

It is confusing because this is a change from V7, which included the developer components with V7Pro. There was no V7 developer. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
