Newbie Question about Rich Internet Applications

All I ever see when I read about Rich Internet Applications and using flash is working with Cold Fusion. Is there a way to work with this using ASP.NET?

Flash works great with ASP.NET (and PHP and old fashioned ASP and CGI etc. etc.)

However Macromedia don't own those technologies like they do ColdFusion so they rarely mention the fact ;-)
