Newbie question about InterDev

I have a simple question, In interdev i added a table to an ASP page under the tab "Design" but when i go into source the HTML doesnt show up like it does in frontpage, when i go back to table the table itself is gone, any ideas on whats going on and how to resolve it. If you used frontpage i think you will understand what I mean.
