I'm used to designing reports in MS Access and I've just started working with Crystal Reports with the understanding that they have many similarities. In Access if you set a multi-line field to "Can Grow" it automatically moves all the fields below it on the page down to accommodate the extra height of the "growing" field. Is CR supposed to do this as well? If it is, I've missed something. When my "growing" fields expand to multiple lines, any fields below them on the page are written over, that is, the data from several fields that "grew" appears stacked on top of each other.

Is there any way around this? Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you very much in advance.

I think Can grow doesn't have the capability of moving other objects out of an expanded object's way. It won't let an object grow wider, however, just taller, so if you can place your other objects next to, rather than under this one, you might still be able to use it.

Insert the object(s) below the expanding field in a following section. For example, if the objects are in the Detail section, you can select the "Insert Section Below" and create a Detail_B section.
