Sorry for being a Newb; and also sorry if this is completely the wrong place to ask this.
Situation is my ISP supplies me with 5 email addresses plus a catch-all account (ie anything@my-domain.com goes to this account). What I would like is to have a server which downloads all the emails sent to the catch-all and which then acts as an email server where clients can retrieve emails addressed to them only.
For example: emails sent to tom@my-domain.com and fred@my-domain.com both end up in the catch-all account, however Toms email client will only retrieve emails addressed to tom@my-domain.com even though the ones addressed to fred@my-domain.com are actually the same account. Ultimately I'm looking to turn my catch-all account into unlimited individual email addresses.
I'm probably not doing a very good job of explaining this, but if you understand what I'm after then can you recomend any open-source (or just plain free) software that would do this for me? Does qmail have this feature? Thanx for your time,
Niall
