Hey there -
I'm a newbie to VID so if this problem seems elementary, my apologies. I'm trying to work thru the Wrox book "Beginning Web Development with VID 6". My set up is Win 2000 Server on the server side, Win 98 on the client side. When I try to set up a page with the VINavBar, the text "[FrontPage vinavbar Component]" is displayed instead of the actual bar. This is what the page looks like on the client (Win98) side. If open the corresponding htm file on the server side (Win2000) it looks OK. This problem has been talked about (even in the book) as well as different sites I have been on, but most of them talk about the old way of recalculating the links - I can't seem to do the equivalent with my setup. I guess the bottom line is, how do I get Win98 to recognize the NavBar?

Problem solved: The FP 98 Server Extensions must be installed on BOTH the server and the client - not just on the server as most documentation states.
