Hi all.
I am looking for some advice on a 2 Postfix startup errors I am getting. I am trying to get Postfix running on Fedora and am getting the following errors:
Mar 23 19:53:26 beowulf postfix/smtpd[2428]: fatal: open database /etc/postfix/aliases.db: Bad file descriptor
Mar 23 19:53:27 beowulf postfix/master[2273]: warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd pid 2428 exit status 1
Mar 23 19:53:27 beowulf postfix/master[2273]: warning: /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling
I have verified that the /etc/postfix/aliases.db file exists and I have run the 'newaliases" command against it. The file always shows a size of 0k for some reason, even after running the "newaliases" command.
On the second smtpd error, I am not sure what the bad startup command refers to.
If someone could just point me in the right direction....
Thanx in advance
Bruce
