Newbie person with ASP page for monitoring isp's users 1

Hi.
I'm very newbie in asp, first of all I can't have a understanding that how codes on server works and how server reponse to each query from users, so if you have website or a figure or maybe even an article that can help me please let me know...
I also want to know if there's a open source stuffs that I can check and test to see how it works or even I may find a sample code that run on server for one ISP and check who's connected, it suppose to be a wireless network so we need to have authentication for each user who connect to internet and it will be secure too. and plus that we need to have a user profile that administrator can access for all and also each user can see his own profiles for things like traffic usages, activation date, expire date or even login and logout times...

I'll be so glad if someone can help me about this and I appreciated it
