Newbie On Netscreen 25

Greetings all,

I recently acquired a Netscreen 25 firewall to learn on but with all the searches I have conducted nothing seems to help. I am having issue getting my internal network traffic out to the internet. First issue is that the manual mentioned that I needed a crossover cable to connect to my trust interface to my Cisco 2950 switch, which doesn't work, so I used a straight thru and it works. Don't know if that's the issue.

Here is my routing parameters: (my ISP is Astound)

untrust-vr
62.151.253.22/24 untrust-interface (assigned by dhcp)
0.0.0.0/0 your-isp-gateway (assigned by dhcp)

trust-vr:
192.168.1.0/24 trust-interface
0.0.0.0/0 untrust-interface

This is how I am connecting to the firewall. Cisco 2950 switch to the Trust Interface - Untrust Interface to the Astound cable modem. From the console I am able to ping 62.151.253.22 but not able to ping the modem's gateway.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Can someone point out what I am doing wrong. I have been at this for the past 2 days non stop.
