newbie ? on 3200 Smart Array rev A V4.16

I have a proliant 6400r; I have erased the system (NVRAM, Array controller. . .) and the SCU; SCU used disk 1 and 2 only. From there I am stuck.
The system has no logical drives and I don't know how
to go create logical drives.

any help pls.

Firstly I would upgrade the ROMPAQs to the latest versions. 3200 should be on v4.50 for instance.

Then download SmartStart 5.40 or 5.50 and use that to install. It will load the array controller utility etc. to help you set up the drives.

You can't use v6 or later because they only work with the newer servers.

Can't remember a download location for SmartStart offhand but check back in the various threads. Somebody has stuck it online somewhere.
