I do not understand this ODBC setup on Win2K very well. I keep getting a pesky error that I do not know how to get rid of.

From Excel we choose
- Data
- Get External Data
- Run Saved Query
- Choose Query
- Then asks where to put the data (choose OK to leave as default $A$1)

[Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] Data Source Not found and no default driver specified.

Then you have to click OK and choose the DSN from the list of Machine Data Sources.

Can you tell me why it says the above error when the DSN is configured in "Data Sources ODBC" under Control Panel, Administration Tools!?! What am I missing?

Does anyone have any ideas about the above error?

Did you select the data source/driver before you pointed odbc to your database path?
