Newbie needs help with trace route

I can't trace route from my desktop. It fails after the 2nd hop ( the internal ip of the firewall). I can trace route from the firewall and from the router. Is there a route statement or a policy I have to add on the firewall to make this work? Are there security issues with being able to trace route from my desktop to the outside world? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortionatly you have now encountered one of Checkpoint NG's features.
i have yrt to come accross a fix fot this (if anyone has i would also be very interested)

I thought this was supposed to be fixed with NG FP3 ?
