Newbie ?: Maximum File Size?

I am brand new to Linux, but I want to convert a Windows 2000 server I have running FTP to run Linux. The trick is, some of the files on the server are large - 8GB+. Does anyone know what the maximum file size is in Linux? Or in RedHat 8.0 in particular?

Forget it, I found out elsewhere - 1TB for the file system 2TB for the file with ext3.
