I am a newbie very interest to Cognos and wish to get in the field. Is there any good resource to get my feet wet and help me enter into the field?

The best source of information, to start with, is the actual pdf files that are included with the products themselves. These will teach you everything from correct installations to administering your environment.

This forum is probably the best bet. Cognos has a good web site, but some of the stuff you need a password for.

There is a book you can get at Amazon.com, for Impromptu. I have not read it, but it seems to be for begineers.

Do you have Cognos or are you thinking of getting it?

I am thinking of getting it since I want to further develop my career in BI field. Although I consider myself pretty good in Crystal but the Cognos is more close to what I am looking for. As result of it ... But it seems pretty hard to start unless your company using it.
