I am not a novice to cmd but do not have much scripting experience...In the past i have created small Batch files to for user and group level rights of *.doc properties. Is it possible to create a Batch file that can convert *.docx files --->*.pdf

is it worth my time to learn a bit of Powershell to create this Batch file? Is it possible to call another program with in the script to convert to *.pdf? (i.e. Adobe Pro)

i know that is a lot... thank you.

No idea how you would create this batch file, but the short answer is if it's possible with a batch file, then it's certainly possible within PowerShell. PowerShell is like a combination of the Command shell, VBScript, and some elements of C++ on steroids (though C++ and C# have features that PowerShell wasn't meant for).

Whether or not PowerShell is your answer here, it's certainly worth your time to learn if you're into scripting, system administration, and/or object-oriented programming.
