newbie:how to handle <,>,& in XML?

I've inherited an ASP page with XML in it.

When we have &quot;<&quot;, &quot;>&quot;, &quot;&&quot; in text, it replaces it with &quot;[&quot;,&quot;]&quot; and &quot;+&quot; and then it saves it...

But I do want &quot;>&quot;,&quot;<&quot; and &quot;&&quot; to show up in the text, dont want them to be replaced with any other chars..

How can I do that??

Replace the characters with it's entity equivalent

looks like the forum converted the entity name to the character, which is expected...

here ya go, again

With
& lt; (added the space between & and l so it wouldn't get converted))
