Is there an easy way to lock down a page without using database/username/password etc? I basically tried creating a folder in the web root, and added permissions to this folder. However, this did not work!

All it needs to do is stop certain uses from viewing the page, based on their network credentials...i.e. in a school, stop the students from accessing a staff area...

Thanks in advance!

Need more info..

What webserver are you using?
How do the "students or staff" log onto the site???
Do you wan't to prompt for a password or just check behind the scenes for credentials???

Exactly what kind of security do you expect if there is nothing behind(i.e. a DB) to check against??

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Great utility...thanks for gatekeeper...does exactly what I need...

Much appreciated!!
