UFL 'u2li8n.dll' that implements this function is missing.

I receive the following error message when I try to run/preview a report from my desktop. I have the following crystal edition installed ( CR Developer, Product Type: Full Product Version 10.0.0.533 ).

The report run fines on our crystal server.

Any ideas?

Tim

Hi,
The UFL ( which appears to be a custom one, but I'm not sure) needs to be installed/registered on your workstation...Ask whomever built/installed it on the server to set up your workstation with it..
( is the same version of CR on the server?)

To elaborate a bit, UFL means a User Function Library, and was the old way of adding functionality to reports. There were many offered by crystal, and people wrote their own DLL using VB or whatever.

There still might be some uses, but most can be written in Crystal now, so you might post it's intent as well.

Here's a blurb on creating them using VB:

Thanks for the help. That is wonderful.

I am taking this report from a server, which is running crystal 9. I am currently running crystal 10. I would like to make additional changes to the report. This dll was found on the server, but not on my machine. I have a fresh install of crystal 10. Since this is most likely a custom dll, is there any way to register this dll on my machine? I have already copied over the file locally and tried a regserv32 command, but with zero success.
