I have a button bar, one image, that consists of 5 buttons. How do I make a hot spot on each part of the button bar? An example fla would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

JT

post your image and i will do it for you.

look for invisible buttons (hit area) in flash help if you would like to work it out for yourself.

Wow, thanks!

that is the link.

I am excited to see how this is done. Also, is it possible ( not asking you to do it, just wondering ) ... for each button to have an animated icon appear when rolled over?

Best Regards,

that just shows me the image..i cant download it

however see if you can get it this way

1.insert>new symbol>button

2. click in the hit area and press F6

3. draw a shape (rectangle?) on the screen

4. back to main movie

5.open library and drag instance of your button onto the screen. the rectangle you drew is the hotspot so place it on the image where you want a button click.

6. the rectangle is only visible in authoring. you will not see it when published

7. add code to your button

8. repeat above for all buttons
