Greetings all,

I'm not sure what it is I should be searching for so apologies if this question has been ask & answered ad nauseum.

Currently callers hear:

"Thanks for calling xyz, press # for company directory if you know the person's last name, or 0 for all other inquiries."

Callers can also dial extension at any time. 0 gets routed to general delivery mailbox after 2-3 rings.

I'm trying to configure it so that callers hear:

"Thanks for calling xyz, press 5 for customer support, press # for company directory if you know the person's last name, or 0 for all other inquiries"

After pressing 5, the caller should be transferred to a voice mailbox with another small greeting played prior to the beep. I'd also like to preserve the the capability of dialing an extension at any time and the 0 for general delivery.

I've been playing with greetings, greeting tables and CCR trees but I can't figure out how to program the press 5 bit. I've tried creating a CCR Tree "Home Menu Node" and then within that either another menu, transfer or mailbox but still no luck.

Any pointers for a newbie? Any help would much appreciated.

I forgot to add that this is a BCM50 (v2.0.2x) and Call Pilot (v42.0.x.blah).

Thanks again.

CCR Tree... New... Select "Home Menu"..

You will see Path 0 (this is where you will tell them their options, so record it here)

In order to get option 5, you will need to add options 1-4 (doesn't matter what you select), so click on "Transfer" that shows up underneath the first option.. The page will refresh and now you will see a 0 option (Menu) and a 1 (transfer). Now click on "Transfer" again, and again and again, until you see 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the left column.. Now, instead of clicking "transfer", click on "MBOX" (this option will be on the same line as the "transfer"). Now you will see options 0-5..

Delete options 1-4, so all you will have is options 0 and 5 (0 must stay there). Click on CHANGE for option 5 and enter the mailbox number you want the caller to go to and then select the disposition of the call (I usually select disconnect). Save it..

Now in the table programming, add the ccr tree you just created..

should be about it..

Also, the manuals on the BCM are very good.. Try em out..

DB - Thank you, this worked awesomely!!!

Manuals? You mean the help links? Or are they somewhere else? Unfortunately I inherited this PBX so no hard copy documentation is available and this is my first time administering a phone system... scary.

Thanks again.
