Newbie - Basic Enterprise Question

I am looking at implementing CE into the company I just started working for. I am in the middle of trying to convince some senior IT officials that we should go in this direction.

I have never dealt with CE and all I see in the information I have found is how it is used for web reporting. Is there anything in CE that would allow me to make reports available to people here on the local LAN without having to deal with all of the web stuff (i.e. setting it up on a web server and so on)? If so please let me know and give me a short example if possible.

Also, any valuable info that I might not have that would sway my superiors would be appreciated.

I am doing the same thing you are trying to do. I sugguest that you set up a test system and convince yourself first. I am not sure I am convinced that this is the answer as it has some problems. Don't worry about the Web Stuff, it all sets up and works (sometimes)when you install CE. The idea is real slick, but like anything good, it takes some effort to make it work.

You can also purchase "scheduler" type programs to run your reports and distribute over your LAN. This solution may be less techie, but its a very KISS solution.
