Newbie at installing voicemail lite

Hi all, I was given the task of installing an ip500 with a ds30 expansion module with voicemail lite. I've only worked on embedded voicemail up to this point. I read through the installation manual from avaya's website. It says "3. In the Custom Setup window select Voicemail Lite from the list of program features that you want to install.
Important
• If you uncheck a feature that is already installed, it will be removed (uninstalled).
5. Add a shortcut to the vmlite.exe file (C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Server\vmlite.exe) to the PC's StartUp folder. Then restart the PC."
I looked through the manager 5.0 admin software and could not find anything that says voicemail lite. Also, when I open the set up wizard it doesn't show a "Custom Setup" window.
Can someone please explain to me how this can be accessed?

3 is when you are trying to remove or repair the program from the configuration screen.

5 is just make a shortcode and drag it in to the starup folder of your programs list.

Be aware that vmlite is not supported on 5.0
It is there but not as it should be !

That's ok. I think we ordered the 4.2 admin cd from catalyst telecom. Is configuring the same as voicemail pro? For example, I'll have to create start points and such?

Voicemail lite only provides mailboxes for users and groups. There is no ability for auto attendant

Yes ordered! I told the sales guy it was free from the avaya site. He said " oh it's only $5". Sales guy is the worst.
TelcoAdy- thanks. I didn't know that. Is it configured like voicemail pro? Or I just activate the application and that's it?

You can not configure anything with VMLite !.
See it as a VMPro but no option to change anything.
So you only have mailboxes for users ans groups and i believe you can do announcements but that is it.

Well it turns out the customer wants an AA. They don't want to upgrade to vmpro, so they now want embedded voicemail. Thanks again to everybody for your help.

Hi,

Quick one that hopefully has a simple answer. How do I make VMlite goto the 'Run' state after starting the application. I noted in the monitor window it defaults to 'Freeze'.

There seems a problem between the chair and the keyboard/mouse. I would get that looked at immediately...

Ahhh a PEBCAT (problem exist between chair and terminal for who does not know)
