Hi all,

I'm very new to Sharepoint. My company has set up about 40 sites for our clients using sharepoint to manage the sites. We have one site that we use as a template for all new sites.

I've been asked to modify a form on the template site as well as update all the client's sites. Is there a way to apply a form change in the template site to all other sites instead of having to open each site one at a time and modifying them independently?

Thanks,

Doug Coning

No only if you based all the sites upon an custom site definition. Then the sites would automaticaly change if you update the site definitions, provided that the pages havent been unghosted.

But from the sound of it you just made a template of an existing site, this automatically couses all pages (of the sites create upon the template) to be unghosted. So the only way to do it is manual...

Thank you for your reply. I thought there was probably a way to do this. I'm new to Sharepoint, though I've been a web developer for many years. Can you point me in the right direction as to how to set up sites using a "ghost" definition so that when we change the definition, all the sites get updated?

Is there a book that you'd recommend that has assisted you?

Thank you again,

D. Coning
