hi - i'm a total newbie to xml ... just a basic question:

we have a small number of apartments that we rent out locally. i'd like to update our 'current vacancies' list in a simple xml document and have this info published in an html page. i imagine that making changes/updating the xml files manually will then make it easier for our assistant (anything-computer-phobiac) to handle.

i have an xml document flats.xml that is a small db of 10 flats/apartments, and the db items are /rent/ /description/ /availability/.

how do i structure the html document, to call the database elements and publish the rent/description/availablilty info on the web?

or am i walking up the completely wrong street?

thanks and greetings

rob.

I'll answer as one newby to another. I'm afraid my post are being ignored for the same reason as yours.

Thats what an XSL stylesheet is for.

Another real easy way to do it is with a XML Data island.
However; I think Data Islands are MSIE only.
