I have NT4. I have Apache 1.3.12
Installs great, nice product!

I have worked out where the default folder/directory is that holds the HTML pages.
(c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\)

So my question is, how can I change this to point to:
d:\mydocs\mywebsite
???

I'm a newbie to Apache.

I can understand that your solution would be correct but the FAQ is not explicit enough for me to understand. Also I do not yet have a URL/domain name for my server. I access it via it's ip address (eg:
Please can anyone "hand hold" me here and guide me through?

Edit DocumentRoot to that dir. Then down in httpd.conf a few more lines, you will see a directory container with the same path as the current DocumentRoot. Change that too. Then edit the ScritAlias line and then the cgi-bin container and you should be up and running.

Thanks for that, I managed to work it out last night.
I edited the httpd.conf file in notepad and searched for "htdocs". This then led me to the C: mapping for the default folder/directory.

Thanks again.
