hi guys,

i have a nice picture of a guitar in which i would like to remove the color and only leave the lines and make them darker, can anyone help me achieve that, i am really new to this so can you please be detailed, thank you guys so much.

Luis

Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen, while others wonder what happened.

...can you post a sample of this image?

Andrew

to remove the color try the following:

method 1
Image > Mode > Gray scale

or even better try:

method 2
Image > Mode > Lab color
then from the channels pallet drag the "a" channel (red/green) to the trash can (at the bottom of the pallet)

Next drag the alpha2 channel (blue/yellow) to the trash can and finally
Image > mode > Grayscale again.

to make the lines darker we would need to see the pic to see exactly what you mean like, apepp suggests, or try explaining that part in more detail.

thanks guys that did help some, but what i was wondering was if there was a way for me to be able to keep just the lines of the drawing to make it look like a sketch and remove all the color.thanks
