Hi all,

I am a very newbe to linux - i thought i would try learn something new.

The main thing that is causing me Jip is trying to get my modem working. according to lstpci i have a rockwell 56k hcf (wth spk) modem.

I am running SUSE 9 and am having trouble installing it. I have been trying to get drivers installed, and using YaST but i cant seem to get anything working.

Anyone point me in the right direction for how to progress this - or what i could be doing wrong - or a step by step guide.

Thanks

Dan

There are 2 types of computer, the prototype and the obsolete!!

Log in as root, and try running this command from a console:

wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

If that works, type:

wvdial

try "man wvdial" or "man wvdialconf" for more info...
