I'm brand new to Apache. I dloaded the msi file for version 2.0 to my Windows 2000 Pro machine. I've got IIS 5 running already. I ran the msi file and it asked me for all the info. I have no idea what my Network Domain or Server name are. When installing two MS-DOS windows came up. The first says "Only one usage of each socket addon is normally permitted, no listener socket available, shutting down." The next message says "The system cannot find the file specified, No installed service named."

The Apache Service Monitor then starts but it says no service is running. Don't know what to do at this point to view my web pages on the Apache server.

I know with IIS I just load up IE and type the name of the IIS server then a \ and the name of the page I want to view. Don't know how to do it with Apache. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

IIS and apache want to use the same port (80). You will need to shut down IIS or apache will never start.
