I have an SV8100 system with some phones that were retired by a client moving to VoIP.

I wanted to play with this / sell off parts / the system.

I factory reset it - held load button, powered it on, count to 10 and release.

I can connect to the controller at 192.168.0.10

Using both PCPro and the web interface, I change the IP address of the box on the 10-12 page. set the subnet, set the router... I apply. I upload from the PCPro app.

I pull the power plug, wait a couple seconds and power back on.

Still has 192.168.0.10 and I can get in there.

How do I get it to hold that new IP address?

First use IE or Edge in compat mode in WebPro and logout. Second you have to power cycle an 8100 for it to take. I would use the power button so it shuts down gracefully.

As CoralTech said above, if you don't click Apply and then Home to go back to the main page and Logout, it doesn't write the change.

Gosh! Thanks!

Shows you who you are dealing with - I forgot the power switch was on the front of the box. I have it vertical on its side.

Kept pulling the plug. toggled the on / off switch and the lights took a second or 2 to go out : )

And now it's at the new IP.

I WAS changing the IP address on the web interface (in addition to the PCPro app) so there was no upload, etc.

If I didn't waste so much time on just changing that... I'd play with logging out being needed to get the IP change to stick.

Or pulling the plug causes it to lose pending changes.

1 other question if you don't mind.... related to the the 64GB voice card that's inserted in the CD-CP00 card... is there a way to wipe that? See what's on it now that the system is factory reset?

Any other things you'd need to clean / delete before selling this, so the new owner doesn't see anything from the previous client's setup?

Do you know about the inmail license? Is there a way to see if this still has a license? That was needed for voicemail, right? So I would assume they had the inmail license since they had voicemail.

There is an InMail utility program that can be downloaded from NEC to work on the cards. Not sure if it worked on the 8100 or not, I've only used it on the SD card on the 9100.

From the main screen, if you look on the "Feature Activation" tab, it will show you all of the current active licenses.

Unless you have an older computer, it may not work for you anyway.

From NEC
"The VM8000 InMail Utility requires a driver for the Reliance file system be installed before the utility is installed.
Only InMail Utility v2.01 or higher supports the Windows 7 and Vista Reliance file system driver.
Only Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 7 (32-bit) and Vista (32-bit) are supported.
Installing all supported languages will reduce the available recording time by approximately 15 hours.
The utility contains all supported language prompt sets for the VM8000 InMail.
The SV8100 InMail Utility cannot be used on SV9100 or IPKII InMail drives.

I may regret it, but I'd like to give it a try to get it running.... if I can get a copy of it : )
