New window that opens is Blank 1

Since installing IE 6 sp1 with my XP system, I am getting multiple instances where if I try to open a link within a web page, the second window that opens up is blank. Nothing else happens. I have to close the new window, sometimes 2, to get back to the original window/page.

Can anybody help?

Use MS updates to see if a fix/patch is available .

Howdy:

Try this..

Go to Start>Run and type in regsvr32.exe urlmon.dll (copy and paste the command if you wish). Now, press <enter>

Wait for the confirmation dialogue and then reboot.

Should fix you up.
