I pulled a menu block to a new application but i dont want to use any of the greetings that are in there.. i tried to select "new voice item" and then go record it but it says I cant leave IT as new???...if i go in though Voice Item maint and change the prompt id.. is that going change it in every application..or just the one im in? I'd really like to just create a new message on the menu block....

Perry,

I should probably clarify just for my own sanity..... so If I RE-RECORD Promt ID XXXX in Application ID XXXX.. even though Promopt id XXXX is the same prompt id in alot of different applications, its only going to change it in the Application im updating and not the others...?

Yes you can have the same App ID say 1002 in more than one App, but how you change that APP ID is by logging into the PROMPT ID

Now im more confused lol..APP id's have to be different dont they?, none of my aPP ID'S ARE THE SAME..i have the same Promt ID in different App id's though..

dial 4160... "Voice item maintenance......application ID"

ENTER XXXX..then password..xxxxxxxx

System asks for"Prompt ID"... THE PROMPT ID i want to change is the same promt id in about 20 different Applications, im afraid if i change it in Application xxxx its going to change it in all of them..

Your having to access each App ID to access the Prompt ID for that APP BLOCK, each APP Block has to be different but like I said you can have the same Prompt ID 1001 1002 1003 in each APP BLOCK

Thank you Perry,

The new voice item is what i really wanted to do and found it under the "define" option in the file task bar... Im learning as I go along here lol... I feel much more comfortable just creating a new recording. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my thread!!
