new video card diplay glitches

Recently i purchased an AGP geforce 3 Ti 200 (chaintech) after inserting the card i get glitches on my screen.

2 or 3 vertical lines appear and all text is fuzzy (seems to be refreshing slightly out of line) The glitches are constant ie remain even in O/S

My mobo is an ASUS Av7 running the latest BIOS.

I am stumped as to what the problem could be....thanks for any advice

Everything is fine if i go back to my old PCI video card.

Just for testing purposes, go to Advanced Settings for the video card and turn off all acceleration and see if that fixes the problem ( it turns off Direct X and things like that). IF that does then you can work from there to start fixing it.

ive taken the card and tested it on 2 other PCs producing the same problem on all 3 >> faulty card

Sounds like that card might be faulty then. It might be best to get it replaced if you can.
