Hi, I thought I remember seeing, about a year ago, that Cisco was going to be releasing a new version of the IOS and it was going to have completely new commands that were supposed to be more standardized with the industry. Is this true or did I just dream it? If it is true, then where can I find more information on it?

Dreaming... People would freak if they changed all their syntax.

I find that some manufactures are making their syntax more "Cisco like". I've just been working with some MRV routers and found it very similar to Cisco IOS. They've obviously copied it from Cisco as they've only been around a few years.

Chris.
