New Veritas Backup Exec Installation Not backing up files

We have just installed Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 for Windows Servers. When we run a backup job, the backup is reported as successfull but no files , directories etc are backed up.
The log also indicates agent used : No, Image : No. what could be the problem or step that I have missed in setting up the job.

What do the restore selections show ? If you see your backup sets, it has backed it up > try a test redirect restore job to be 100 % sure.
