I am new to Project and would like adivce on the following.
We have a cabinet shop and run design software that produces CNC cutting lists and drilling programs from which we get the number of parts produced.
We send those parts to a saw which produces a part every 1.5 minutes it then goes to an edging machine which edges the part in 30 seconds then it goes to a CNC drilling machine that takes another 1.5 minutes per part.
Those three machines work 24hrs a day 6 days a week. The job then goes to an assembler who takes 3 minutes to assemble each part, the assemblers work 10 hours per day.
We know the date that the job has to be delivered so what we would like to do is enter the date finished and the number of parts and have a macro or VBA code perhaps that does the rest, is this possible.
I do have a reasonable knowledge of Excel and Access and have strung together a small amount of VBA just to let you know I'm not a total dumby ( but close).
Your help would be appreciated.
Regards Lewy
