New user with a BCM50

Hello I am new to the forum, I just bought a BCM50 from an auction. I was wondering if I do a level 2 reset if there will be some kind default basic licensing for a few IP phones,MOH, and some digital phone after the reset or if it has some standard licensing built in.

No. A level 2 reset defaults the hard drive and wipes out the license file. It will be a paperweight after a level 2 reset unless you have the license file available to be reloaded.

So if I do a Level 1 it will keep the License files?

A level 1 reset will default user programming, but leave the license file. I don't think a level 1 will reset the nnadmin password if that's your intent.

It might be wise to look at the MAC address underneath the BCM unit and post it here. It's possible that someone will be able to obtain the keycodes for you if any exist!.
