New user to McAfee 8.0i

Greetings!

Ive just joined a new org. and we will be migrating from Trend Micro Officescan to the latest version a/v suite available from McAfee, 8.0i.

My question to the forum is "What headaches/surprises could I expect as we migrate to this app, caveats?" I have downloaded all supporing docs and tend to pour over them over the coming days.

We run a Windows XP Pro Sp2, Win 2003 SP1 std server environment. We also use Lotus Notes 6.5.

In 8.0i there is a new feature - access protection. It blocks some potentially dangerous actions, i.e., remote modification of .exe and .ini files, launching scripts etc. For workstations it is mostly OK, but for servers you should review the rules, especially if you manage servers remotely.
