New User-How can I open a 3-D Vis R3 drawing into 3D-Vis R2 program?

I just finished a class in 3Dvis and cannot open my file becuase my program is R2, not R3. I need to recover this File. Can I open it in another format, such as Architectural desktop? I'm really new at this but I love it!

Export your draw in 3DS format.
after insert a 3ds object in your R2.
