Hi all,
I installed server 2003, then I created a new computer to
join the domain. I also, created a new user with all defaults. Unfortunatelly I cannot log in with the new user. but, when I type the administrator/password account I connect from the xp client

when I log in from an xp client to the server 2003 as
administrator, how can I log out from the server and keep using xp client.

First did you go the pc and join it to the domain and second is the new user part of the domian users group?

Yes, I joined the PC client to the domain and, I said I can log in using the administrator account.
Yes, The new user is part of the domain users group.
thank you for the reply.

Thank you dberg,
The problem I had is that when I create a new user,
I check mark "the user must change the password " it
didn't work for me. when I unchecked it works .
it is not a good solution, but at least I can log in
as a new user.

I still don't know how to log off from the server 2003.

Did you check the event viewer to see if there are any errors? The other possibility is it could be an DNS issue. Where is the PC pulling for DNS? It should be the server.

No, I didn't check the event viewer. I am not home now.
I will checked later.
Yes, the DNS is in the server side.

After log in as a user in a client machine, how can I log off from the server ?
Thank you.
