Hi all,

I posted a few weeks ago when I was trying to work out some transparency problems i was having and sorted them out nicely.

I now have a real world reason for using transparency and have run into a couple of problems I can't get my hea around. If anyone can help that would be great.

Take a look at
In FF and IE, teh trasparent layer works fine, but in IE6 for some reason it's rendering as a black layer, not trasparent at all. Any ideas why?

Also, I want to give the trasparent layer rounded corners. I can't get my head round thi at all, again, any ideas on where I should be looking to achieve this?

Thanks,

Richard

Hmm, just checked in browsercam and it seems the opacity is working in IE6 (mut be the standalone version of ie6 I'm using).

So just the rounded corners that ned to be sorted it seems unless anyone else has the same problem in IE6.

not sure where i'm looking but if it's the top image the corners are not rounded in my IE6, well they are but also have a black background hard edge corners

Thanks 1dmf,

Been playing around with it and with the help of Stu Nicholls at cssplay.co.uk I have managed to get the corners done nicely with no images.

I presume the black stripe on the top image is transparent in your IE6 then? If so great, just that it isn't on my stanadlone version (yet another reason why it would be nice to and have IE7 and IE6 properly installed side by side!!).

I knwo I could have just made an image with the shaded part at the top but I really wanted to do it with css. Means less messing around in Photoshop for one.

Have a look at it now and see what you think.

Thanks,

Richard

yup - that did the trick [peace]
