The popular code search tool GoFish has been posted to VFPX:

For those of you not familiar, is a repository of open source tools, addons, and other useful projects BY VFP developers FOR VFP developers. All are completely free for your use.

If you're not familiar with VFPX, you owe it to yourself to wander around over there. The PEMEditor is a wildly useful tool. The help file released with VFP9 SP2 was horribly munged, so a community-built "repaired" version is on VFPX. There's a *lot* there. Have a look!

I can only repeat the general advice. From a frst glimps it looks gofish has superseded VFPs Code References Search, but I wonder if you can't merge the two tools functionalities, especially since Code REferences is available as source code in XSOURCE (also available at codeplex in the newest version).

I remember coming across gofish about 2001 or 2002 using VFP6 back then, which did not have code references, only filer.dll

I will have a closer look at that, have also seen this advertised at the msdn foxpro general forum already, but it's good to spread that news.

Bye, Olaf.

...first glimpse... Ah, I give up.

And, just to complete the subject, there's also an updated version of Code References on VFPX. Among other things, it searches the Class and ClassLoc fields, which the original does not.
