New to WS - trying to access the admin console (not on localhost)

I've installed WAS 5 on an AIX box, choosing to install the admin console. I've started the server, and can see a listener on various ports, including 9090. When I try and connect to

http://servername:9090

, however, I get the 'Virtual Host or Web Application Not Found' page.

What should I do? Do I need to allow access from a machine other than localhost? The book says the admin console should just work, but all the examples they give use localhost. I'm not running X on the server, so this is not an option...
