New to Tomcat, Index.jsp Help (main web page recompile help)

I am trying to lock down our system a bit and have modified the tomat_users.xml file with stronger username and passwords, however I am being told I need to either remove the information and content on the main url which lists the type of web service or Delete this url completly.

Well, normally people would just delete the ROOT webapp.

BTW, deleting this does not have any bearing on security - people can determine your web server by other means (mainly the http header) quite easily.
