New to Thunderbird - how to merge profiles

Following the advice of another TekTips user, I am giving Thunderbird a try in place of Outlook & WLM.

I have managed to import all my old existing emails from outlook into Thunderbird on my main PC - no problem.

I now have some recent email on my laptop (using Thunderbird) and want to merge this email with the email on the main PC

Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to merge the emails from the laptop onto the PC (without overwriting or losing the large anout of mail on my PC) ?
