Hi all,
my boss wants me to start learning exchange 2007 as ov today. im just installing it and would like to know links to short and understandable tutorials. also, we have websense, so get me websense-friendly websites. thanks in advance

thanx alot for the quick response. will get to it now

Also, nothing beats a good book - something like Jim McBee's "Mastering Exchange Server 2007 SP1" will teach you much that you need to know...

Any book by Jim McBee, Paul Robichaux, Pat Richard or other Exchange MVP in fact.

Thanks for the mention, Zelandakh! I appreciate it. Jim does a good job for the day to day admin. Tony Redmond has books that go deep into the theory behind Exchange.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

Well, I figured you needed a mention on the "which book to get" issue :)

hi all,
thanx a lot for ur contributions.....
i have spent the last day reading and unfortunately i'm getting bored of theory.

i have installed exchange 2007 successfully...what now? please give me practical knowledge, like i wud need at the clients..

what do i do now? configure what? add mailboxes how? etc. im tired of reading. please bare with me

Start Outlook on a client. Does it autodiscover?

Go to OWA. Does it work?

Send emails between internal clients. Does it work?

Send emails outbound.

Send them back in again.

What about size limits?

everything above ive succeeded in. what do u mean by size limits....also cud u post me a tutorial link for managing mail box policies?

Have you looked at size limits or have you left them at defaults?

Managing mailbox policies depends on what policies you would like to make. Let me google that for you.
