Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this.

I set up a Reporting Server in 2008. In the Reporting Services Configuration manager I am able to connect to the reporting server URL just fine. When I downloaded and installed Report Builder, however, I put in the URL from the ReportManager URL screen and it can't connect from within Report Builder, so I am unable to create reports and save them to the Report Web Page. I am experienced with writing SQL, but not in the setup of SQL Server and 2008 seems a lot different. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've looked in books and I think I have taken the steps they list, but nothing works.

Thank you,

Di

I think you need to give it the reportserver URL which is (by default).

Thanks, That's what I have but it is still saying that it's not connected to a server and when I try to add a new data source it is saying this:

Connection failed.
Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the url, ' Make sure that the server is running, the URL is correct, and you have permission to use the server.

I've tried everything I can think of. Does this error shed any light on the situation or is this just a generic message?

Thanks again,

Di
