I'm trying to help my boss with the new version of Micro's. Can anyone tell me where we need to go to run the audit report? I cannot seem to find it. We may have someone ringing in items then clearing them off of the system and pocketing the cash. Were not sure, but would love to check out the audit report.

Thanks.

for the sales part u can try autosequence&reports

in the reports tab in sales its a report void.. i belive

Hey.

What do you mean by Audit reports? What information do you want to see?

To me, audit reports reflect a listing of transactions by sequential time. Many POS systems also allow you the ability to examine each key stroke as it occurs. Maybe the 3700 experts present here can offer you a way to do either.

The key stroke report ability is important. For instance, you have a bartender that rings up three $5 drinks, tells customer that'll be $15, customer hands bartender $20, bartender then presses the button (void, cancel, delete, error correct, last item void etc.) once, the new total due is $10, bartender gives customer back $5 in change BUT leaves the extra $5 in the cash drawer. That $5 is now the bartenders money. The only thing left is for the bartender to figure out a safe way to remove that $5 (or whatever total they have built up) without being caught and those techniques are plentiful.

Not every POS system has the ability to list a transaction by each key stroke which is very critical because many of those POS systems also do not show you (in reporting) the transaction I described above. POS systems show you actual voids but many do not show on reports any "last item voids, cancels, error correct etc"

However, your Micros is a very mature product. Hopefully I described what it is you're after and the helpful Micros will outline a way for you to get it.

I think what you want to look at is the Journal. Go into the Devices\Workstations in POS Configurator and see what the path & journal name is. At the Eond of Day the journals are written to an Archive directory, with a path like:
c:\Program Files\Micros\Res\Pos\Archives

The archives will contain all the journals for a given day in individual ZIP files.

It is like an old fashioned till tape, that lists all the check activities.

See how you go
