I am trying to move one extension with all its current settings. I have switched it in the system to the correct number, however it keeps losing the ability to forward phone calls onto the voice mail box. Why? and how do I resolve this.

Renumber if back to its original number, then through the Maintaince menu, or and extension report, determine the Slot/Port of the original extension, and the extension that lives where you want it to be.

Go to the control unit, and swap the connecting cords or jumpers for those two extensions. Then swap the phones, or at least the desigination strips.

The programming, such as coverage, ability to do trunk to trunk transfers, labeling, line assignments, etc. are all on the PORT the phone is connected to, and renumbering only does that: renumbers the port, not move the features.
