I need to install a new webserver, and am having problems. Using Redht 7.3, I started the install from a bootable CD, and after it had asked me what language the keyboard was in it said that it wanted to know what drive the installation source files were on and gave a list of only hard drives. Obviously our files are on a cd, so no luck in continuing.

I then created a boot disk from the source images, and it then gave the CDdrive option as well as the local hard disk option. I chose this, and the installation then asked whether I was using a scsi or other cd rom. I am using an atapi drive, but the system wouldn't accept this and asked for driver disks.

I haven't been able to move forward from here. Can any one help.

I don't know if it is useful, but my system has 4 harddrives set up as 2 mirror raid sets on an ide Raid card.

Thanks

Richard
