new to illustrator

Hi,

I have Ill 9.0. I created a color that I want on a web page. Is there a way to figure out how to get that same color in HTML code? Or do I have to create a box with the color as a background and tile it?

if you double click on your color in the toolbar, the color palette will open up. look on the right, there should be numbers. Underneath R, G, B, there should be a box labeled with a #... something like 8b238d would give you a purple. anyways take that number and plug it into you HTML.
